Class Times

Classes run on Monday evenings in Portmarnock Community School, with usual breaks for school holidays, and will re-start in September 2026.

Who can join

We offer classes for many instruments in a friendly and welcoming environment. Children must be at least 6 years old to join.

Run by Volunteers

Everything here (classes, events, this website) is organised by volunteers in their spare time. We're not a business, so please bear with us if replies or arrangements take a little longer than you'd expect. You don't need to be on the committee to help with smaller jobs, and we'd love it if more people got involved!

Teachers

Our teachers are skilled musicians, including some All-Ireland Fleadh winners, and also experienced teachers who understand the importance of having fun while learning!

Instrument Rental

We have a limited number of instruments available for rent, so learners can get started without having to buy their own right away.

Cost

Instrument classes for 2025/26 were €240 for the full year (September – May). In addition, annual Comhaltas Ireland membership is €20 for a family.
